Recording guide
How to record your room.
Two minutes, one slow lap. Here is the checklist our designers use.
- 01Hold your phone horizontally and move slowly
- 02Start at the doorway and walk the full perimeter
- 03Pause on each corner for two seconds
- 04Show every door and window, open and closed
- 05Tilt down to the floor line and up to the ceiling line
- 06Capture fixed fixtures, radiators, outlets and appliances
- 07Turn on lights and open blinds for even light
Also measure, in feet and inches:
Room length and width, ceiling height, and the width and height of each door and window. If you have an existing floor plan or a room scan from a LiDAR-equipped device, that helps too.
